Founder & Executive Chairman

Manny Padda

Manny is recognized as one of Canadas top entrepreneurs having recently being named both BC Entrepreneur of the Year and Canadian Angel Investor of the year. Manny is the founder of New Avenue Capital (NAC), a private family office that brings together financial, human and impact capital for high growth companies. He currently manages a portfolio of 40+ companies with 23+ exits. Manny is also the co-founder of RiseTech Capital, a capital pool company established with some of Canada’s top business leaders that gives tech companies an alternative way to raise capital and go public.

Donald Park

Donald has over 20 years experience in the dental industry including senior executive positions with Etkon USA, Institut Straumann AG, Biomet Orthopedics, Biomet 3i and DenMat. During his time as Head of North American Operations for Straumann CAD/CAM, Donald built a world class manufacturing center and as VP of Laboratory and Technology at DenMat, managed over 180 employees and delivered yearly revenue of $24 million USD and multi-million-dollar margin improvements.
Chief Financial Officer

George Danes

A seasoned strategic leader, George offers over 20 years of corporate and operational finance experience. Prior to joining SIG, George had most recently been working at Toptable Group, leading the finance function, and creating operational improvements with various system implementations for existing and new venues. Previously, in other executive finance roles and as a consultant on various go public, debt restructuring, and other finance related transactions, George developed a fiscal expertise with the ability to build winning teams. George holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

Joining the company in October 2021, George’s responsibilities include developing and executing on the multifunctional, strategic, and financial operating plans required to drive the company’s corporate strategy to accelerate growth and enhance value for shareholders and all stakeholders.

Vice President I Sales & Marketing

Sarah Cox

Starting her career in Dentistry over twenty years ago, Sarah held various roles in a practice management capacity, where she first developed a passion for the industry. She then assumed a senior leadership position, overseeing a large-scale operation at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR,) where she gained additional expertise in Human Resources and Operations. Following her time there, she held a Business Development role with one of the largest dental companies in North America, building relationships with key stakeholders, while overseeing the growth of the BC market. Currently, Sarah is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and identifying market opportunities across all brands within the Smile Innovations Group portfolio. A true champion for service excellence, Sarah has helped streamline systems and processes, while enhancing the customer experience. Sarah joined Smile Innovations in 2019 as Director, Sales & Marketing, and assumed her current role in April 2021.
Senior Director, Acquisitions & Partnerships

Tim Dinger

Tim offers over a decade of Capital Markets experience in both North America and Europe. Starting out, he was recruited by DZ Bank AG, Germany’s second largest bank, to pursue a trainee program with focus on corporate and investment banking. He later gained experience as part of Pricewaterhouse-Coopers’ M&A team in Frankfurt and New York and most recently, worked for BMO Capital Markets as part of the investment banking team in Vancouver. While pursuing his Master’s degree, he worked at New Avenue Capital and led the team’s successful venture capital efforts. Currently, Tim is responsible for transitioning all Smile Innovations Group acquisitions, specifically developing integration strategies, all due diligence, and post-close integration management. Tim joined the company in 2019, as Director of Corporate Development, and was named to his current position in April 2021.
